ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Morgan Greene is the pen name of Daniel Morgan, a British author and copywriter. Daniel grew up in South Wales, and studied English Literature and Creative writing at Swansea University. Daniel set out writing dystopian fiction, and worked as a ghostwriter for several years working across science fiction, romance, and even YA fantasy. It wasn't until 2020 that he began writing crime fiction, and the Jamie Johansson series was born.

With a breadth of experience in different genres, Daniel brings dynamic elements to his writing that toe the boundary between crime and thriller. At the heart of the stories is Jamie Johansson, his resident detective. With fourteen Jamie novels already published, there's no sign of the series slowing down. Though, Daniel has written a series of standalone literary crime novels, set in the US, and is set to launch a new series in the thriller space in 2024. He currently lives in Wales, on the fringe of the Brecon Beacons, just like Jamie.

ABOUT THE BOOKS

The Jamie Johansson series began in 2020 with the London-set prequel Bare Skin. In January of 2021, Angel Maker saw Jamie return to her native Sweden, chasing a notorious serial killer. The story captured the hearts of readers, instantly becoming a runaway bestseller. Since its launch, it's sold over 100,000 copies in the UK, remained an Amazon Bestseller for more than 100 consecutive weeks, and is currently in development for television.

In 2023, the Jamie Johansson series moved again, returning to the UK with The Last Light Of Day, which marked a new direction for Jamie's story. With a heavier focus on the thriller elements which have always been at the heart of the series, these stories are more propulsive than ever before. Daniel hopes to continue to build on past successes, and launch a new conspiracy-thriller series set in the same universe.

His standalone literary crime novels, Savage Ridge and A Place Called Hope are deeper, more character-focused stories set to challenge readers' expectations and morals. They are set to be published by Canelo Books in 2024. Click below to see all of Daniel's books on Amazon.
