01: WHAT IS
GOOD WRITING?

  • Starting April 20th 2026

  • Four weeks

  • Monday nights 6-8pm

  • £70 per person

  • 25 student maximum

  • + Optional 1-to-1

THE COURSE

  • Week 1: The Writer-Reader Relationship

    • Understanding the way readers interact with work and the unspoken exchange.

  • Week 2: Control and Voice

    • Point of view, narrative stance, and controlling pace and information to elicit emotional response.

  • Week 3: Subject and Subjective

    • Choosing subject matter and crafting a story through structure

  • Week 4: A Story Emerges

    • Workshopping your short story with live editorial​

  • Optional: 1-to-1 Session

    • For an additional fee, you can book an extra one-to-one session to discuss your work or get some advice on your specific situation and goals.
